Obituary for Carl A. Schroeter

Carl A.  Schroeter
Carl A. Schroeter, 92, of Bethlehem Twp., entered the presence of the Lord on Sunday, October 29, 2017. He was the husband of the Late Violet A. (Trautmann) Schroeter who died in 2009, after 63 years of marriage. Born in Ashland, he was a son of the late Alfred and Clara Schroeter. He served in the U.S. Army During WW II (Battle of The Bulge) and was a P.O.W. for 5 months. He was also recalled to service with the Honorary First Defenders in June 1950. He worked for the Jeddo-Highland Coal Co, and Princeton University and later for Bethlehem Steel for 38 years retiring as a Mechanical Repair Supervisor. Carl was a member of Bethlehem Lodge 283, Free and Accepted Masons of PA for over 50 years and a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Palmer Twp.

Survivors: He is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Jean Hero; son, Glade G. Schroeter both of Bethlehem Twp.; 2 grandchildren, John J. Hero III (Pamela) of Bethlehem; Jessica J. Lehr (Daniel) of Downingtown and 2 great grandchildren Joshua Lehr and Kathryn Lehr.

Services: Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Thursday, November 2, 2017, from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. in the JAMES FUNERAL HOME, 527 Center St. Bethlehem, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 A.M. Burial will be in Bethlehem Mem. Park.
