Obituary for Margaret A. Searles
Margaret A. Searles, 74, of Wind Gap, PA, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2018 in St. Luke's Hospital - Anderson Campus. She was the beloved wife of Robert W. Searles and together they shared 55 years of marriage. Born and raised on Hillside Ave. in Glen Gardner, New Jersey, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Amy Mowery. She worked as a hairstylist for many years at Kay's Beauty in Changewater, NJ, which she enjoyed very much. Margaret had many hobbies including auto racing, bowling, crochet, painting ceramics, and even auto detailing which she did at her brother's auto sales business. Most of all in her earlier years, she enjoyed spending time with her best friend Stephanie and her family.
Survivors: in addition to her husband, Robert, she is survived by her children, Kelli Ziobro and her husband Nicholas of Bethlehem; Karen Smith and her husband Douglas of Asbury, NJ; James E. Wright and his wife Patricia of Quakertown; 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Sister Margorie Wright and brothers, Clarence Mowery, Jr. and Richard Mowery.
Services: At Margaret's request there will be no services. She prefers to be remembered as she was in life. Please cherish those good memories. Arrangements are entrusted to the James Funeral Home, Bethlehem, PA. Offer condolences to the family at www.jamesfuneralhome.org.
Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Robert Searles, 15 Poplar St., Wind Gap, PA 18091
