Obituary for Myron Lynn Phillips

Myron L. Phillips, 84, of Bethlehem, passed away on Sunday March 6, 2016, in Phoebe Home of Allentown. He was the beloved husband of Nancy (Reichard) Phillips. They were married for 63 years. Born in Binghamton, NY, he was the son of the late William Phillips and the late Virginia Rhodes. He attended the Wyoming Seminary and Lehigh University. Later he served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a Research Technician with Bethlehem Steel for 40 years retiring in 1992. He loved flying and many outdoor sports and especially the Experimental Aircraft Assoc., L.V. Flying Club, Bath Model Airplane Club, Hellertown Rod and Gun Club, participated in car racing, motorcycling events at the Springtown, Fleetwood and Berks County Hill Climbs, as well as ice racing and airshows to name a few. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman.

Survivors: in addition to his wife, Nancy; are daughters, Linda C. Fenstermaker and her husband Barry; Carolyn J. Adam and her husband George all of Whitehall; grandchildren Carl Miserendino, Adam Phillips; Lindsey Adam; great granddaughters, Laylah and Aslynn Shue, Bradley Jean Phillips. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Drew Fenstermaker.

Services: A memorial service will be held this Friday at 1:00 p.m. in the JAMES FUNERAL HOME, 527 Center St. Bethlehem, where friends will be received from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Condolences may be left for the family at www.jamesfuneralhome.org
