Condolence From: Justin Gartner
Condolence: My Dear Aunt Karen! She was never “just” and aunt who happened to be an extension of my immediate family. Her love and influence are with me today. Countless gifts of books taught me the value of reading for enjoyment and for knowledge. To this day, I can’t consider a house a home without at least one bookshelf. She was the first person who taught me to hike through some woods, stop and smell the flowers or take pictures of scenery we both thought deserving of a capture. She was also a best friend to my dad and Benay and helped us both through our own ordeal and loss. I’ll always remember her light laugh, sense of humor, and love of travel, adventure, and family! I’m not sure there are better qualities to have in a person. We’re better people because of her!

Condolence From: Lynn Snodgrass-Pilla
Condolence: Scott, Caesar and I are so sorry to learn of Karen's passing. Karen and I had such a South Jersey connection. I taught school in her home town, we both new Rowan when it was still Glassboro State and we were Drexel librarians surrounded by all those "Rutgers" trained librarians in the Lehigh Valley! We so enjoyed our "Librarians who Lunch" outings with Olga and Jean after retirement. Fondly, Lynn and Caesar Snodgrass-Pilla
