Obituary for Angelo DeRosa

Angelo DeRosa, 84, of Hanover Twp., formerly of New York, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 9, 2020. He was the husband of the late Angelina (Chillo) DeRosa, who passed in 2013. Born in Villa Nova del Battista Italy, he was the son of the late Michael and Theresa (Perrina) DeRosa. He immigrated to the United States in 1970 and was a self employed shoe repairman for much of his life before moving to the Bethlehem area. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Bethlehem.
Survivors: He is survived by his daughters, Theresa McCormick (John) of Brooklyn, Rosa Silk of Easton, Lina Bellucci (Robert) of Hanover Twp.; sisters, Filomena Perrina of Florida, Marie Colantuono of Staten Island; 7 grandchildren.
Services: As we are limited as to the number of people who can attend a funeral due to the COVID-19 restrictions, a safe public drive up viewing will be held on Friday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. at the JAMES FUNERAL HOME, 527 Center Street, Bethlehem. Relatives and friends are encouraged to write notes of sympathy, bring sympathy cards and Mass cards for the repose of Angelo's soul. These tokens of sympathy will be given to his daughters.
The family Viewing, Mass of Christian Burial and Entombment will be private for the immediate family only as we must abide by the restrictions mandated by the State of Pennsylvania.
The Mass will be LIVE STREAMED to the James Funeral Home and Cremation Service PC - Facebook Page.
The Service will remain on Facebook for 8 hours to give everyone opportunity to watch and participate from home.
PLEASE OMIT FLOWERS. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 3219 Santee Rd., Bethlehem, PA 18020
