Beryl Anderson, 64, of Eagle River, Alaska, passed away peacefully in St. Luke's Hospice House in Bethlehem, PA, on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 9, 2021. She was the beloved wife of Thomas Anderson, with whom she shared 39 years of marriage, and a devoted mother to her two children, SallyRose and Casey.

Born in Highland Park, IL, she was a daughter of the late Sholom and Judith (Greenstein) Pearlman. She received her Bachelor's degree in Math from the University of Colorado and later a Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Alaska. She taught in the Anchorage School District for many years before retiring.

Beryl’s true passions in life were spending time with her family and friends and exploring the great outdoors. She was an accomplished hiker and runner. She enjoyed camping, sunshine, chocolate, and peanut butter. She was happiest when she was in the mountains surrounded by people she loved.

In addition to her husband, Thomas, she is survived by her daughter, SallyRose Estrella (Adam) of Bethlehem; son, Casey Anderson (Bailey) of Eagle River, AK; sisters, Leslie Hamilton, Vivian Pearlman, Marian Bratcher; brothers, Edward Pearlman, Philip Pearlman; grandsons, Jacen and Luke Estrella, and amazing friends in Alaska and across the country. She was recently preceded in death by a brother, Robert Pearlman.

A celebration of Beryl's life is being planned by the family for a later date. Local arrangements are entrusted to the JAMES FUNERAL HOME, Bethlehem.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Alzheimer's Association of Greater PA, 225 N. Michigan Ave. Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601 or www.alz.org/pa would be appreciated.
