Obituary for Brian David Smith

Brian David Smith, 61, of Wind Gap, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2019, in St. Luke's Hospital, Anderson Campus. He was the former husband of April (Ford). Born in East Stroudsburg, he was a son of Charlayne (Rowlands) Putek of Wind Gap. He served in the U. S. Army from 1976 to 1978. Most recently, he was the former owner of Sign Dog Creations a sign painting company, for several years before retiring due to illness. Brian enjoyed life and especially being outdoors hunting, fishing, and hiking, as well as caring for his dogs Petchey and Brown. He was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors: He is survived in addition to his former wife April, and mother, Charlyne, are a daughter Desiree Smith of Pen Argyl; brothers, Steve Leraris (Marc Yesberger) of Rehoboth Beach, DE; Mike Leraris (Susan) of Nazareth; Joseph Putek (Alicia) of Pen Argyl; 2 grandsons, Draco and Michael. He is also survived by his best friend, Shawna Glover.

Services: Services will be private and at the convenience of his family. Arrangements entrusted to the James Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
