Charles W. Morgan Jr., 96, of Appleton WI, formerly of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 in Island Shores Assisted Living, Neenah WI. He was the beloved husband of the late Marilyn (Snyder-Dawson) Morgan, whom he'd known since 9th grade and with whom he shared 49 years of marriage, until her passing in 1997. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Charles W. and Marian (Brierly) Morgan. He graduated from Liberty H.S. in 1944 and served in the U. S. Navy during WWII. Later he attended Muhlenberg College, graduating in 1950. Charles worked for over 30 years as a store manager for Food Fair and later at Laneco, retiring about 1988. He was an active member of Christ Church UCC of Bethlehem, where he served as a past President of Consistory, served on the usher and finance teams, and was an elder and deacon. He was a proud member of Bethlehem Lodge 283 F&AM, Lehigh Consistory for over 60 years.
Survivors: He is survived by his son, Jeffrey Morgan and his wife Sharon of Appleton Wisconsin, daughter, Pamela Hummel and her husband James of Bethlehem, 4 grandchildren, Heather I. Morgan, James "Jesse" Hummel, Christa E. Morgan Neff, Gretchen M. Bartholomew and 7 great grandchildren.
Services: Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Thursday, May 5th from 5:00-7:00 PM followed a Masonic Service at 7:00 PM and a Funeral Service at 7:15 PM all at the JAMES FUNERAL HOME, 527 Center St. Bethlehem. Burial with military honors will take place on Friday morning, May 6th at 11 A.M. in Bethlehem Memorial Park.
