Obituary for George E. "Gene" Moran Jr.

George "Gene" E. Moran, Jr., 74, of N. Whitehall Twp. PA, formerly of Succasunna NJ, passed away on Monday, October 18, 2021 in his home. He was the beloved husband  of Nancy L. (Zullo) Moran with whom he shared 49 years of marriage.  Born in East Orange, he was a son of Catherine (Malvaso) Moran and the late George Moran Sr. He served in the U. S. Army during Vietnam and worked for 25 years as a Police Officer in East Orange  before retiring in 1994. He was a member of PBA in East Orange, Italian American Police Assoc. and a former parishioner of  Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Egypt PA. 

Survivors: In addition to his wife, Nancy and mother, Catherine, he is survived by his daughter, Samantha Moran (fiance' Mark Steigerwalt), a sister in law, Natalie Moran and many brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews and extended family.  He was also preceded in death by brothers, Frank Moran and Kevin Moran.

Services: Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Saturday, Oct. 23rd from 2-4:00 p.m. followed by a Prayer Service at 4:00 p.m. all in the JAMES FUNERAL HOME, 527 Center Street, Bethlehem. Interment will be private. More info at www.jamesfuneralhome.org. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Northeastern PA American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 4383, Bethlehem PA 18018 would be appreciated.
