Obituary for Herbert C. Dunn

Herbert C. Dunn, 66, of Bethlehem Twp., passed away suddenly at his home on Friday, August 28, 2020. Born in Richmond Valley, Staten Island, NY, and raised in the Catholic faith, he was a son of the late Herbert J. and Lucille (Androvette) Dunn. He graduated from Tottenville High School where he was on the cross country team and later attended University of New Haven , CT where he earned a B.S degree in electrical engineering and electrical power in 1975.
After college he worked for many years as a Principal Electrical Engineer for Nabisco, Werner & Pfleiderer, and Foster Wheeler and worked on many power plants throughout the country.
At the time of his death he was the owner of Dunn to Perfection, a Home Improvement business, and a partner of Consolidated Engine Stop Co., LLC. A kind person who always thought of others and went out of his way to help people and brighten their lives with random acts of kindness.

Survivors: He is survived by his wife, Virginia (Ricci) Dunn of North Haven, CT; Children, Herbert C. Dunn II of Glen Bernie, MD; Nicholas Dunn (Jessica) of Bethlehem Twp.; Natalie L. Kerby (Zach) of Hamilton, OH; Christopher J. Dunn of Bethlehem (currently working in China); sisters, Suzanne Brascia Michel (Andy) of FL, Elizabeth Miller (Kenny) of NY, Shelby Johnson (Rich) of NJ, Sharon Dunn of FL; grandchildren, Nolan Kerby, Juliana Kerby, and Nicholas Kerby. His fourth grandchild is expected in January 2021.

Services: Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Thursday, September 3, 2020 from 2-4:00 P.M. and from 6-8:00 P.M. with a Memorial Service and sharing of memories to begin at 7:30 P.M. all from the James Funeral Home, 527 Center Street, Bethlehem. Burial of ashes will take place later at the convenience of the family in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.

DUE TO THE CURRENT PANDEMIC RESTRICTIONS MASKS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING WILL BE REQUIRED.

Contributions:In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Korean United Methodist Church at 17 E. North St. Bethlehem PA or the American Heart Association, 968 Postal Rd, Suite 110, Allentown PA 18109.

The Memorial Service and Sharing of Memories will be live streamed to the James Funeral Home and Cremation Service PC - Facebook Page beginning at 7:25 P.M. Please like or follow our page and you will get a notification when we are live streaming.

A Zoom Room has been set up for those unable to attend the visitation or service. The Room will be open from 6:30 P.M.. with the service to begin at 7:30 P.M.
