Ida  Bemposto (Coruche)
Ida (August) Coruche Bemposto, 93, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Holy Family Manor, Bethlehem. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Maria da Natividade & Anibal Augusto Coruche. She was the last of 9 children. She was the loving wife of the late Jose "Joe" F Bemposto for 71 years before his passing in 2017.

Ida worked for Schobel Bros. Tie Factory, Finkelsteins Jewelers, & Lehigh University. She was a parishioner of Holy Infancy Catholic Church. Ida was a member of the Portuguese American Club where she was a cook many many years ago; she also belonged to their Ladies' Auxiliary. She was a volunteer for Holy Infancy Melting Pot at Musikfest until she was 88 years old. She loved the Yankees and Eagles, going to bingo, baking, and crocheting. She was also an avid bowler in the 60’s & 70’s.

She will be dearly missed by her daughters Elvira B Pimenta & her husband Mario of Lower Macungie Twp., Maryrose B Ribau & her husband Mario of Bethlehem Twp; grandsons Paul B Pimenta & his wife Areti of Nebraska, Mark B Ribau & his wife Sherry of Washington State; as well as several nieces & nephews. Ida was preceded in death by her 4 brothers & 4 sisters.

Services: Due to COVID-19 Restrictions, the Funeral Mass and burial at Holy Saviour Cemetery are private.
Services will be live streamed beginning at 1:25 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23rd for the Funeral Mass and approximately 2:35 p.m. for the Rite of Committal at cemetery. Please like and or follow James Funeral Home and Cremation Service PC on our Facebook page and you will receive a notification when we are live. The services will be viewable until 10:00 p.m.
