Susan L. Schumacher, 78, of Bethlehem, passed away suddenly on Monday evening, April 25, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, Bethlehem. She was the beloved wife of Stanley E. Schumacher with whom she shared 54 years of marriage. Born in Nashville TN, she was a daughter of the late Robert L. and Elsie (Keiter) Vetters. She received her Bachelors Degree from Butler University in Indianapolis Indiana and worked for many years as an underwriter for Guardian Life Insurance Company. Susan was raised in the Catholic faith and had been a parishioner of Sts. Simon and Jude R. C. Church in Bethlehem and in more recent years was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Bethlehem.
Survivors: In addition to her husband, Stanley, she is survived by a brother, Eric Vetters and nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Vetters.
Services: Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Tuesday, May 3, from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. all at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3219 Santee Rd., Bethlehem PA 18020. Local Arrangements entrusted to James Funeral Home, Bethlehem.

A graveside service with Rite of Committal will be held on Friday, May 6th, at 1:00 P.M.at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Huntington Indiana. Those services are entrusted to McElhaney - Heart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington Indiana.
