Obituary for William I. Miller

William “Bill” Miller, 77 of Kutztown, formerly of Bethlehem, died on Dec. 31, 2020 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp., after a brave battle against COVID 19. He was the beloved and devoted husband of Lorraine (Ruch) Miller, with whom he shared a 5 year courtship and 53 years of loving marriage. Born in Frackville, he was a son of the late Howard and Esther (Evans) Miller and graduated from Liberty H.S.

He worked as an Operating Engineer, Local 542, and at the Bethlehem Steel Cinder Dump, retiring in 1998. In 2002 they started their retirement in an RV and toured our USA full time and returned to PA full time again to be with family. Bill along with his wife, enjoyed going to auctions, flea markets and were known as the “Hat People”. He also enjoyed his neighbors, no matter where they lived, enjoyed antiquing at Heritage Antiques, Reinholds in Adamstown. He was a member of the former Christ Church, Schoenersville.

Survivors: In additional to his wife Lorraine, he is survived by several God children, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and a great great niece who is on her way. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Howard and Ronald and sisters, Kay Longenbach, Susan Pluchinsky and Baby Jane Miller.
