Obituary

Alfred Gelber, 88, of Bensalem, Bucks County, passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2018,peacefully in his home. He was the beloved husband of Joan (Shapiro) Gelber with whom he shared 58 years of marriage. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late David and Frieda Gelber. He was self-employed most of his life in sales of various types. He was of the Jewish faith and last attended the former Congregation Bnai Brith (Knights Rd.) in Philadelphia.

Survivors: in addition to his wife, Joan, he is survived by a daughter, Lisa Howard (John Jr.); son, Stuart Gelber (Michele) all of Bensalem; brother Jack Gelber (Marlene) of Philadelphia; 3 grandchildren, Johnny Howard III (Nicole), Corey Howard, Tyler Gelber; 1 great granddaughter, Destiny Howard. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Pearl Gelber, Reba Gelber, brothers, Morris Gelber and Abe Gelber.

Services: Relatives and friends are invited to his graveside services on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. in "Section Z" of King David Memorial Park, 3594 Bristol Rd., Bensalem, PA. The family will return to the late residence following the service. Arr. By: JAMES FUNERAL HOME, Bethlehem.
