Ann Louise Wildrick, 89, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025, at Country Meadows of Bethlehem. A beloved member of her community and a cherished part of her family, Ann lived a life full of love, faith, and compassion, with music holding a special place in her heart until the very end.
Born on December 1, 1935, in Bethlehem, PA, Ann was the daughter of the late Laury Sr. and Mazie (Dilliard) Peters. Ann, the youngest of her siblings, was the last surviving member among her brothers and sister. She was the devoted wife of the late Richard G. Wildrick, with whom she shared 34 beautiful years of marriage until his passing on September 5, 2010.
Ann found immense joy in life's simple pleasures, often marveling at nature's beauty from her sunporch as birds—and the occasional pesky squirrel—visited her feeders. She delighted in playing Scrabble, always keeping her trusty dictionary close, and enjoyed spirited card games with friends and family, her sharp wit and playful competitiveness shining through. In her younger years, Ann loved to dance, and in her later years, she was her grandchildren's biggest cheerleader, celebrating their theater productions, choral and band performances, and sporting events with an enthusiastic "WOOHOO!" from the audience.
Faith was a guiding light throughout Ann's life, and she was a devoted lifelong member of Christ Church UCC. A proud Liberty High School graduate, Ann shared her passion for music as a longtime member of the Alumni Chorus. Ann was employed by Northampton County Unemployment office up until her retirement.
