David Cruz, 56, of Bethlehem, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2019, in Doylestown Hospital after a long illness. He was the beloved companion and husband of Vernitha Wright. They were together for over 30 years. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was a son of the late Jose and Angela (Soto) Cruz. He was a factory worker for most of his life until becoming disabled. Although not belonging to a particular church he was a Christian.

Survivors in addition to his wife, Vernitha, he is survived by his son, Dominick Cruz of Bethlehem; stepchildren, Jamel Wright of Bethlehem, Akima Wright of Georgia, Jovan Wright of Brooklyn; Janiece Palmer of Brooklyn; brother, Jose Cruz; sister, Blanca Laboy of Brooklyn; 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Services: Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing this Friday, Nov. 22nd from 12-1:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. all in the JAMES FUNERAL HOME, 527 Center St., Bethlehem. Burial will be in Nisky Hill Cemetery, Bethlehem.
