Dennis R. Kakas, 75, of Getz Assisted Living,Kunkletown, formerly of Lancaster, passed away in St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill after a brave battle with COVID-19, on Wednesday, January 6, 2021. He was the beloved husband of the late Loretta ((DiEmididio) Kakas. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Ernest Sr. and Margaret (Waszily) Kakas. He was a graduate of Bishop Neumann High School in Philadelphia and and entered the U. S. Navy serving in Vietnam as a Cryptic Intelligence Officer. Later he worked for Philadelphia Electric for 35 years retiring as a foreman. He was of the Catholic faith.

Survivors: He is survived by his son, Phillip Kakas (Jessica) of Blakeslee; daughter, Jennifer Kakas of Western PA; brother Ernest Kakas Jr of Pottstown and 2 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers, John Kakas and Michael Kakas.

Services Private burial of ashes with Military Honors, took place in Memory Gardens, Epharta, PA on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. Arrangements entrusted to JAMES FUNERAL HOME, Bethlehem.
