Dix Alison Tobey, 90 of South Whitehall Township, passed away on Thursday evening, June 23, 2022 in Lehigh Valley Hospital Hospice, Allentown. He was the beloved husband of the late Alice ( Abriel) Tobey, with whom he shared 63 years of marriage before her passing in September 2017. Born and raised in Oneonta NY, he was a son of the late Earl and Marjorie (Stilson) Tobey. He was a truck driver for many years for various companies in the New York area and after moving to the Lehigh Valley with his family in 1977. Later he taught CDL at LCC and LTCI until retiring.

Survivors: He is survived by his sons, David Tobey (Robin) of Sparrow Bush NY, Bradley Thornton of Chicago IL; daughters, Sandra Parker of Pittsford NY, Karen Steele (Brian) of Breinigsville, brother, Alan Tobey of Boston Spa NY; sister in law, Martha Tobey; 7 grandchildren, Christine, Steven, Brandon, Drake, Katelyn, Dylan, Colin; 3 great grandchildren, Cameron, Maxdon, and Logan. He is also survived by his brother and sister in law James and Joyce Frechette and many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Charlene Burns in 2021 and her husband William and brothers, Brian Tobey and Douglas Tobey.

Services: Services will be at the convenience of the family. Cremation arrangements entrusted to James Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
