Obituary

Dolores Demeter, 85, of Bethlehem, passed away on Friday evening, February 28, 2025, in St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill. She was the beloved wife of John Demeter with whom she shared over 66 years of marriage. Born in Frackville, Schuylkill county, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Dean and Caroline (Timmins) Dean Dry and step-daughter of the late Paul Dry. Dolores, worked hard all of her life in retail at various stores including ShopRite, Walmart, Sam's Club, as well as many others. She also was a nurses aid at Cedarbrook Nursing Home for a short time. She was a parishioner of Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Bethlehem. Dolores will be lovingly remembered for her hardy laugh and the love and care she had for her family. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors: In addition to her husband, John, she is survived by her daughter, Deborah Csorba (Nicholas) of Bethlehem; sons, Brian S. Demeter of Bethlehem, John M. Demeter of Slatington, Gregory A. Demeter of Bethlehem; brother, Thomas Dean; step-brother, Dennis Dry; 5 grandchildren, Melissa, Nicholas, Jozsef, Kristie, Julieanne and 5 great grandchildren, Tyler, Aiden, Ava, Dylan and Cameron. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Donald Dean and step-brother, Larry Dry.

Services: Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Saturday, March 8th, from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at the JAMES FUNERAL HOME, 527 Center St. Bethlehem followed by an Office of Christian Burial with Divine Liturgy at 10:00 AM. at Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, 1140 Johnston Dr. Bethlehem, PA 18017. Burial - Bethlehem Memorial Park.
