Donald Evanchuk 83, of Bethlehem passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023 in his home surrounded by his family. He is the husband of Mary Jane (Hall) Evanchuck. The couple celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary July 7, 2022. Born in Allentown Pennsylvania June 14, 1939, He was a son to Harry and Hilda May (Brinker), Evanchuck. Donald retired from the United States Marine Corps after serving 22 years. Donald had a passion for shooting and spent his leisure time at the gun clubs. After his retirement, He also enjoyed spending his time with his wife and family camping.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Mary, is a son, Scott H. Evanchuck his wife, Tina Marie living in Eagle River, Alaska; daughters Terri Evanchuck of Bethlehem and Tammy Dekrell and her husband Brian of Schnecksville PA; 6 grandchildren, Nicholas Scott Evanchuck, Michael Hugh Evanchuck, Alyssa Marie Evanchuck , Maya Paige Hamlin, Brittany Lynn Dekrell, and Kayla McKenzie Dekrell. He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Kemmerer.

Services: Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Saturday morning from 10-11:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM all in the JAMES FUNERAL HOME, 527 Center St. Bethlehem. Military honors will conclude the service in the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
