Donna Ann Blundo Heater, 80, of Whitehall, formerly of Pompton Lakes, NJ and Bethlehem, passed away on Sunday evening, November 3, 2024 at Moravian Village Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Dominic Blundo, with whom she shared 31 years of marriage before his passing in1994. Later she married Harry Heater, with whom she shared 18 years of marriage before his passing in 2020. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was a daughter of the late Chester and Margaret (Braun) Furboter. She received her nursing degree from Northampton Com. College in 1986 and later a BS degree from St. Francis College in Joliet, IL, in 1996. Her nursing career took her to positions in several area hospitals including Lehigh Valley, Easton, Warren, Kidspeace and also Heartland H.C. and Hospice. She was an active parishioner of our Lady of Perpetual Help RC Church in Bethlehem, where she was a member of the Friendship Club and was also a member of The Red Hat Society.
Donna, was an accomplished seamstress teaching herself to sew and tailor . She enjoyed crafts and cooking and especially loved to travel and go on cruises which lead to trips to many far and exotic places. Some of the places she traveled to were Russia, Japan, China, The UK and Italy. In her early years, trips in the family camper across the US were favorite vacation destinations. She enjoyed driving and being independent. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her family and her friends.
Survivors: She is survived by her daughters, Christine Mann (Marvin), Marianne Briggs (Tom), Teresa Keiffer; sister, Lorraine Santin (Emilio); grandchildren, Marvin, Shannon, Katie, Allison, Emily, John Michael and William. She was preceded in death also by a sister Jean M. Stryker.
Services: Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Thursday evening, Nov. 7th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the JAMES FUNERAL HOME, 527 Center St., Bethlehem and on Friday morning Nov. 8th at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 3219 Santee Rd. Bethlehem where viewing will be from 11:00 to 11:45AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
