Obituary

Edward Joseph Kyle, 84, of Murrells Inlet, SC, formerly of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2021. Ed was predeceased by his wife, Lucy (Bender) in 2011. He was born on November 10, 1936 in Philadelphia, son of the late Robert and Margaret (O'Grady) Kyle. Ed was a salesman for American Greetings Corporation where he earned the Pacesetter Award which is given to those who have achieved significant accomplishments through high performance, motivation, and influence in their career. He was a former member of the Church of the Assumption B.V.M. in Bethlehem, PA. He was a graduate of St. John the Baptist High School and attended Shepherd University. Ed was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Many will remember Ed for his quick wit, sense of humor, love of golf and devotion to his family. He spent most of the last 21 years in South Carolina where he enjoyed golfing, dining and visits from his granddaughters.

Survivors: Ed will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Susan K. Wise, wife of Jeffrey of Blue Bell, PA, granddaughters, Mallory and Lily, his sister, Sr. Mary Frances Kyle, SSJ as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, T. Joseph and Robert V.

Services: Will take place on Saturday, November 13, 2021 with a Mass of Christian Burial  celebrated at 11:30 AM in Assumption BVM Catholic Church, 4101 Old Bethlehem Pike, Bethlehem.  Following Mass, relatives and friends are invited to join the family at Holy Saviour Cemetery, 2575 Linden St., Bethlehem for the Rite of Committal.
