Edward Peter Shively Jr. 71, of Bethlehem, passed away suddenly on Friday, January 20, 2023, in Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg. He was the beloved husband of Diane (Lynn) Shively with whom he shared 52 years of marriage. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Edward and Grace (Devlin) Shively. He worked for many years for the former Thypin Steel Company of Easton before retiring in 2004. He was a member of the Grover Cleveland Democratic Association and the VFW in Allentown and was a member of the former former Monocacy Field and Stream. He was also a member of Bethany U.C.C. Bethlehem.

Survivors: In addition to his wife, Diane, he is survived by his daughter, Renee Towner of Holiday FL; son, Edward P. Shively III of Bethlehem, sister, Mary Wargo of Bethlehem; grandchildren, Roland, Chanel and Grace. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathleen Shively, a son-in-law, Dwight and a sister, Anna Vincent-Ursu.

Services: Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Friday, January 27th from 10-11:00 A.M. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 A.M. all in the James Funeral Home 527 Center St. Bethlehem. Burial will be in Bethlehem Memorial Park.
