Elmer H. Jones, 85, of Catasauqua PA, passed away on April 8, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. He was the husband of Margaret A. (Knowles) Jones. They were married for 56 years. Born in Plymouth, PA, he was a son of the late Elmer Hiram and Beulah Jones. He graduated from Plymouth High School in 1958. After moving to the Lehigh Valley, he worked as a machinist for many years at Ingersoll-Rand and later Lehigh Heavy Forge before retiring. He enjoyed being a coach for the Catasauqua Junior Baseball League for several years during the mid-1980s, and loved being called "Coach" or "Pops" for the rest of his life by many of the girls he taught how to hit and catch a softball. He enjoyed watching sports, gardening, and spending time with his beloved grandchildren. He was of the Christian faith and attended Annunciation B.V.M. Catholic Church (St. Mary's) in Catasauqua faithfully with his wife.

Survivors: In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Kerry Ann Branine (Scott); son, David (Sara); brother, William E. Jones; 2 grandchildren, Max and Aubree Jones; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth, in 2013.

Services: A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the convenience of his family. Arrangements entrusted to James Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
