Obituary

George A. Adam, 63, of Whitehall, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 in his home. He was the beloved husband of Carolyn (Phillips) Adam with whom he shared 28 years of marriage. Born and raised in Lyon Station, he was a son of the late George and Salome (Boyer) Adam. He had a love for cars at a young age, which lead to a career in automotive repair. He was the owner of Programechanics Auto Repair in Allentown for over 35 years. George, also enjoyed his family, working in his gardening and creating a backyard pool oasis, fishing and his boat.

Survivors: In addition to his wife, Carolyn, he is survived by his children, Adam Phillips (Tegra) of Northampton; Lindsey Adam of Philadelphia; sisters, Barbara Masters (Ron), Shirley Walters (Steve); brother, Richard Adam (Debra) and his grandchildren, Bradley and Chase, who would affectionately call him grumpy. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Nancy A. Phillips and many nieces and nephews.

Services: Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 10-11:00 AM followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 A.M. all in the JAMES FUNERAL HOME, 527 Center St., Bethlehem. Due to continued COVID-19 Restrictions, masks and social distancing will be observed. Services will also be live-streamed to his obituary page at www.jamesfuneralhome.org.
