George M. Dry Jr., 95, of the Slate Belt area, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, August 20, 2024 in Bethlehem North Nursing Home, Bethlehem. He was the former husband of Joan Mae Dry. Born in Lehighton, he was a son of the late George M. Sr. and Elsie May (Miller) Dry. Known by the stage name - "George Day" he was musician much of his working life in "The George and Joanie Day Trio," Retiring in the early 90's. He was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors: In addition to his former wife, Joan, he is survived by his son, Rodger P. Dry; daughter, Precious G. Nealy; sisters, Joyce Lambert, Margaret Dry and 3 grandchildren, Jared Shaw, Heather M. Dry and Victoria M. Perry. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael C. Dry and a granddaughter, Crystal D. Nealy.

Services: Services are at the convenience of the family. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to James Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
