George Meilinger Jr., 101, of Hellertown, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2023. He was the husband of the late Dorothy (Fulmer) Meilinger who passed in 1981. Born in Bingen, he was the son of the late George and Tillie (Fluck) Meilinger. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and worked many years as a trackman for Conrail, retiring in 1986. He was a former member of New Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church.Survivors: He is survived by his daughters, Cynthia Healy (Edward) of Hockessin DE, Christina Zeigafuse (Daniel F.) of Hellertown and 3 grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Elizabeth Clewell, Anna Hackman, John Meilinger, and Grace Kneiss; 1/2 siblings, Charlie Dimmig, Paul Dimmig, Robert Dimmig and Pearl Dimmig.Services: A funeral service will take place this Monday, at 11:30 AM in JAMES FUNERAL HOME, 527 Center St. Bethlehem, where friends may call from 10:30-11:30 AM.
