Glen Shoon was a caring and generous father, uncle, brother and friend. He left this world suddenly on November 3rd, 2021 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania at the age of 59 years old.
He was born in Trinidad on August 2nd, 1962 to Enid and Rudolph. He grew up in Tunapuna, Trinidad where he enjoyed both the beauty and adventures of the island. It was here that his love of the ocean and nature originated and would continue to flourish and give him solace throughout his life.
Trinidad was where he welcomed his first son, Jean Pierre, to the world. He would then begin his long journey to provide the best life for himself and his son. His dreams and ambition called him to the United States where he would begin working on his legacy. Glen was again blessed and greeted his 2nd son, Michael, again embracing fatherhood to make sure his boys were taken care of.
A lifelong truck driver by trade, Glen continued to build and provide for his family while also witnessing and exploring God's creations across the country. When he was not working and building his legacy he could often be found prepping and cooking in the kitchen, the smells of Trini food often wafting throughout. After moving from New York City to his own home in Pennsylvania he was frequently outside watching his back yard hum and come to life.
As a man of great faith, he continued to love and provide for his family in even the hardest of circumstances and personal challenges . Always giving and sacrificing the fruits of his own labor for those he loved. He was a strong believer and his faith in God and his design was unwavering until the end.
Glen is survived by his two sons, 7 siblings and many nieces and nephews . And while he will be greatly missed, the impact he made on those he loved will not be forgotten.
