Helen Elizabeth Garvey, 76, of Bethlehem - Upper Saucon Twp., entered eternal life on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 while in the care of her family and the staff of St. Luke's Home Hospice. She was the beloved wife of Donald P. Garvey with whom she shared 47 years of marriage. Born in Scranton, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Elizabeth Madus. She graduated from East Stroudsburg University and worked as Deputy Director of the Private Industry Council (Formerly Career Link) before retiring. She was a parishioner of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church Bethlehem.

Survivors: In addition to her husband, Donald, she is survived by her brother, Msgr. Peter Madus (Priest of the Diocese of Scranton); sisters, Jean Madus and Marie Senor; nieces and nephews and extended family.

Services: A Private Memorial Mass and Burial of cremated remains will take place in Dunmore, PA. Local arrangements entrusted to JAMES FUNERAL HOME, Bethlehem.
