Howard W. Vanderslice, 85, formerly of Oak Lane, Allen Twp. passed away in Sacred Heart Senior Living, Northampton, with his family at his side, on Friday, May 8, 2015. He was the beloved husband of H. Carol (Schank) Vanderslice and together they shared 57 years of marriage. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Elmer and Marion (Gibson) Vanderslice. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard and later worked as a service manager at General Electric for over 40 years before retiring. He was a member of F.&A.M. of The Grand Lodge of PA.
Survivors: In addition to his wife Carol, he is survived by his children, William H. Vanderslice and his wife Ruthann of Northampton; Lynne C. Rex and her husband Gordon of North Carolina; Wayne K. Vanderslice of Northampton; 4 grandchildren, William Jr. and Jennifer Vanderslice; Melissa and Nicholas Rex. He was preceded in death by brothers, Elmer and Jack.
Services: Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May13th, at 10:30 AM in the JAMES FUNERAL HOME, 527 Center St, Bethlehem, where relatives and friends may call from 9:30 AM until time of service.
