Jaime Garcia Ortiz, 77, of Bethlehem, passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2023 in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. He was the beloved spouse and companion of Andrea DeLeon, with whom he shared 25 years together. Born in Guayama P.R., he was a son of the late Teofilio Garcia and the late Flor Maria (Ortiz) Garcia. Jaime worked as a chef for many years at the Puerto Rican Beneficial Society in South Bethlehem and had also worked as a cook and in maintenance at Saucon Valley Country Club and also in maintenance at the Iron Pigs Stadium.. He was an active parishioner of Holy Infancy Catholic Church, Bethlehem.
Survivors: in addition to his spouse, Andrea, he is survived by his sons, James Garcia, Harry Garcia; stepsons, Xavier Ramos, Jomar Ramos, sisters and brothers, Aida Garcia, Rosalia Garcia, Maria Garcia, Virginia Garcia, Gladys Velez, Marisol Garcia, Daniel Garcia, Jose Garcia, Angel Garcia; 6 grandchildren, 3 step-grandsons; 6 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and extended family who will miss him very much. He was preceded in death by a sister, Margarita Lopez and brother, Benjamin Garcia.
Services: Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Wednesday morning, June 7, 2023 from 8:30-10:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. all in Holy Infancy R. C. Church, 312 E. 4th Street, Bethlehem. Burial will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to James Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
