James D. Alfano, 85, of Hanover Twp., passed away on August 5, 2025 in Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg in Bethlehem. He was the long time companion and of the late Nicholas A. Cascio who passed in 2020. Born in Brooklyn New York, he was a son of the late James V. and Rose C. (Brown) Alfano. He served in the U. S. Navy from 1957 to 1961 and worked in the commercial banking field for many years until retiring. Jim had a knack for cooking and earlier in his life attended culinary school. He was an active parishioner of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Bath.
Survivors: He is survived by his son, David J. Alfano of Saylorsburg, and many friends. He was also preceded in death in addition to his companion, Nicholas; by a sister, Phyllis Carlucci.
Services: Relatives and friends are invited to his Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, August 12th at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 210 East Northampton Street, Bath. Burial of cremated remains will follow at Sacred Heard Parish Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to JAMES FUNERAL HOME, Bethlehem.
