Obituary

James "Jim" Joseph Faulds, 100, of Miami Florida and former resident of The Palace of Homestead Florida, passed away peacefully in the early hours of the morning on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at The Reserve at Citrus in LeCanto FL. He was the husband of the late Miriam (Kearney) Faulds,with whom he shared 50 years of marriage before her passing. Born in Philadelphia PA, he was a son of the late James and Loretta (Brennan) Faulds, He served in the U. S. Coast Guard during World War II and later graduated from the Miami Police Academy, which lead to a 35 year career with the Miami-Dade Police Department retiring as a Lieutenant. He was a member of FOP Lodge 20 in Miami and also the longest living member of the Police Benevolent Association in Miami. James, was raised in the Catholic faith and attended St Brendan's R. C. Church in Miami periodically earlier in his life.

Survivors: He is survived by his daughter, Mary Margaret (Faulds) Cribbs of Key Largo FL; brother, Robert J. Faulds of Philadelphia, 12 nieces and nephews, their spouses and many great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death in addition to his parents and wife, by brothers, Phillip Faulds, Joseph Faulds; sisters, Mary (Faulds) Mullaney, Catherine (Faulds) James, a niece, Carol (Mullaney) Slavin and a nephew, John Mullaney.

Services: A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial in memory of Jim, will be celebrated on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 11:00 AM in St. Dominic's Catholic Church, 8504 Frankford Ave. Philadelphia. Although his cremated remains will not be present, the family will offer prayers at the Faulds family plot in St. Dominic's Cemetery following the Mass.
