Obituary

James M. Putt, 69, of Lansford, Carbon County, passed away suddenly after a brief illness in St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill. Born in Fountain Hill, he was a son of the late Joseph W. and Janina G. (Keidle) Putt. He served in the U.S. Army during Viet Nam. James worked various jobs over the years and was a locksmith for many years. He was also a volunteer driver for veterans that needed transportation to and from the VA Medical Hospital at Wilkes Barre. He was a member of the Lehighton Branch of the Church of Latter Day Saints (The Mormon Church).

Survivors: He is survived by his sister, Marcia Putt who resides in Spain, several cousins in Utah and friends in Lansford and his Church.

Services: Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd., Newtown, PA 18940. Arrangements are entrusted to the JAMES FUNERAL HOME, Bethlehem. Condolences may be left at www.jamesfuneralhome.org.
