Obituary

Jane Anne (Rowan) Hickey, 104, of Center Valley, formerly of Bethlehem, PA, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2026. Jane was born a proud Scot, in Glasgow UK on October 11, 1921. Following her father Thomas's untimely death she and her mother and siblings emigrated to New York. She resided in Astoria, Queens and followed a family tradition of working at Bloomingdale's in Manhattan until she married Thomas George Hickey in 1954 and relocated to Pennsylvania.

Survivors: Jane is survived by daughter Kerry and son-in-law James ("Rick") Cheever, son James and daughter-in-law Carla Hickey, sister-in-law Mary Ann Jacquinot, grandchildren Brian and wife Lucia Hickey, Kevin Hickey and wife Noelle Wilkinson, Mary Kate and husband Michael Fazio, Lauren and husband Mike Sweeney, Kara Cheever and husband Fuery Hocking, Liam Hickey, Seamus Hickey, and Rowan Hickey. Jane is also survived by great-grandchildren Emma and Thomas Hickey, Evelyn and Lillian Sweeney, Lorelei and Sabrina Cheever, and Clara Fazio, and by numerous loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Tom (after 69 years of marriage), by her eldest son Thomas Joseph, daughter-in-law Anne (Walker) Hickey, mother Bridget McGhee Handley, siblings Thomas Rowan, Sarah (Sally) Forrester, Edmund Handley, and their respective spouses Germaine (Palmer) Rowan, Robert Forrester, and Janette (Carter) Handley.

Services: Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Friday, Feb. 13th from 10:00 to 10:55AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM all at Assumption BVM Catholic Church, 4101 Old Bethlehem Pike, (Colesville) Bethlehem.
