Janice R. Whitesell, 86, of Bethlehem Twp., passed away on December 28, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Herman W. Whitesell with whom she shared 36 years of marriage before his passing in 2014. Born in Portage Maine, she was a daughter of the late Herschel and Ida (McNally) Currie. After high school, she worked as a guide at her parents hunting and fishing camp (Red River Camps) in Maine. Locally, she worked as a bus driver for over 30 years for the BASD before retiring. Janice was active in the community and formerly coached softball for the Bethlehem Bull Dogs, was a past member of Sacred Heart Prime Time Club, participated in the seniors groups at the Bethlehem Twp. Community Center and the Autumn Club, Bethlehem Boat Club and was a past member of the Red Hats. She also enjoyed bird watching, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Survivors: She is survived by her children; Steven Pavloty, Tammy Guidon (Edward), Scott Pavloty all of Bethlehem; granddaughter, Desiree Pavloty and great grandson, Michael Beahm, as well as nieces, nephews and extended family. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Helen, Joyce, and Carolyn.
Services: Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Friday, January 3, 2025, from 9:30 to 11:00 AM followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM all at the JAMES FUNERAL HOME, 527 Center St. Bethlehem. In lieu of flowers,
