Joan Marie Mazar, 64, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017 in St. Luke's Hospice House, Lwr. Saucon Twp. Born in Phillipsburg,NJ, she was a daughter of Joan F. (Castner) Turchuk of Bethlehem and the late John E. Lanning. She worked for the former United Telephone Company which later became Sprint and Embarq, for 40 years before retiring.

Survivors: In addition to her mother, Joan, she is survived by her son, Jason Whiting and his wife Jessica of Roanoke, VA; sisters, Jackie Greenleaf, Melody Higgins; brothers, Jim Lanning, Herbert Grainer and grandson, George J. Whiting. She was preceded in death by brothers, Jay Lanning, Jeffrey Lanning and John Lanning.
