Jose Gandia, 77, of Reading and Bethlehem, passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 in his home surrounded by his family.  Born in Bayamon P.R. he was a son of the late Tomas Gandia and Julia Nazario.  He worked for Consolidated Bus Company for in New York for over 30 years before retiring.  He was a Chaplin for many years in Reading with the Assemblies of God and a member of Discipulando Las Naciones. Among his accomplishments he enjoyed Painting (Oil and Acrylics), sculpting, music and drama (Playwright at Iglesia Fuente de Salvacion in Brooklyn NY.). Most important to him were the blessings of his family whom he was very proud of.

Survivors: He is survived by his sons, Jose A. Gandia, Gilbert J. Gandia (Sara), Noel Gandia (Marta); daughter, Rebecca Gonzales (Peter); sister, Lydia Gandia; stepdaughters, Vivian Perez (Steven), Maria Perez (Benjamin), Carmen Mata (Jose); 34 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Glenda Vega-Ortiz and brother, Tomas Gandia.

Services: Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Sunday evening July 25th, from 5-6:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 6 p.m. and then on Monday July 26th, with viewing from 9:00-9:30 a.m all in the JAMES FUNERAL HOME, 527 Center St., Bethlehem; followed by burial in Bethlehem Memorial Park.  More info at www.jamesfuneralhome.org.
