Joseph Sommer, Sr., 82, of Bushkill, PA,formerly of Caldwell, NJ, passed away on September 7, 2015. He was the companion of Sharon Gill. Born in Newark, NJ, he was a son of the late Frederick and Mary Sommer. He served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict and was a self-employed painting contractor for many years before retiring. He was of the Presbyterian faith.
Survivors: in addition to his companion, he is survived by daughters, Bonnie T. Miller (Donald) of Cranford NJ; Brenda L. Boland of Audubon NJ; Julie A Johnston (David) of Three Bridges NJ; Jennifer M. Voutsinas (David) of Newtown PA; son, Joseph Sommer, Jr. (Jeanette) of Randolph NJ; sister, Laura Clifford of NC; 11 grandchildren, Matthew, Francis, Ryan, Todd, Cristine, Kieran, Jessica, Celeste, Alexandra, Allison, Joseph; 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 9 additional brothers and sisters.
