Kathleen M. DeForrest, 71, of Middle Smithville Township (E. Stroudsburg), formerly of Croydon, entered eternal life on September 17, 2020. She was the beloved wife of Joseph J. DeForrest, with whom she shared 51 years of marriage. Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Violet (Kedziora) Towarnicki. Raised in the Catholic faith, she was a graduate of St. Hubert's High School for girls in Philadelphia and had worked for many years for the Internal Revenue Service in Philadelphia until retiring about 2007.

Survivors: In addition to her husband, Joseph, she is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Barder (Robert) of Bensalem; Kimberly DeForrest (Kim Caron) of Morrisville; son, Joseph DeForrest (Amanda) of Levittown; brothers, Stanley Towarnicki; John Towarnicki; sister, Geraldine Griffin; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Services: At Kathleen's request, no services will be held. She wished to be remembered as the loving, caring wife, mother and grandmother she was. Arrangements are entrusted to JAMES FUNERAL HOME, Bethlehem.
