Kathleen "Boots" Horwath, 95, of Fountain Hill, passed away suddenly after a brief illness on Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2024, in her home. She was the beloved wife of Bernard "Pat" Horwath with whom she shared 52 years of marriage before his passing in 2003. Born in Freemansburg, she was a daughter of the late John and Loretta (McGovern) O'Connell and very proud of her Irish Heritage. She was a graduate of Bethlehem Catholic High School "Class of 1947". She worked at Bethlehem Steel in the accounts payable department for several years and later at the former Fabric Center in Bethlehem as manager for many years. She was also the "Director of Arts and Crafts at the Senior Center of Saucon Valley Community Center in Hellertown for many years before retiring. "Boots" was a devout and faithful member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church Bethlehem, where she was a former Eucharistic Minister, member of the choir, social committee, Prime Time Seniors and director of bus trips. After Holy Ghost Parish was transferred to the care of the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter (a Traditional Roman Rite / Latin Mass Community), she remained active in the parish community, attending Mass, helping at the parish Christmas Market and in the kitchen until her passing. She will be dearly missed by her family and Church Community.

Survivors: She is survived by her children, James Horwath (Renee), Kathleen Richards (Matthew); sister, Anna Marie "Sis" Corvino; granddaughters, Sarah and Rachel and great grandson, Kaeden. She was also preceded in death by brothers, John, Patrick and Thomas O'Connell.

Services: Visitation this Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 PM, at the JAMES FUNERAL HOME, 527 Center St. Bethlehem and on Thursday from 10:00 to 10:55 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3219 Santee Rd. Bethlehem, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00. Burial - Holy Saviour Cem.
