Kathryn "Kathy" D. Scherter, 41, of Allentown, passed away suddenly and peacefully in her home on Thursday, April 6, 2017. Born in Ithaca, New York, she was the daughter of the late Robin and Janice (Rutkowski) Scherter. She worked as a residential program worker for several years working with the mentally challenged. She was a very loving and proud mother. She was especially fond of her little dog, Lucky. Kathy enjoyed the little things in life like spending time with her friends and loved ones and making art.

Survivors: Her survivors include her sons, Shane Gooden of Coplay; Tyler Scherter of Allentown at home; a brother Gary Scherter of Newark Valley, NY; her companion, Lisa Feist, and many friends.

Services: A celebration of life will be planned later. Arrangements are entrusted to the James Funeral Home, Bethlehem. please leave a condolence message for the family.
