Obituary

Lois S. Gross, 87, of Bethlehem, formerly of Mifflinville, died in Gracedale Nursing Home, on July 20, 2015. She was the wife of the late Kenneth S. Gross. Born in Hettlerville, PA, she was a daughter of the late Raymond W. and Estella (Naugle) Slusser. Prior to moving to Bethlehem she had a daily cooking show for many years, where she was known as Polly Baker on WBRE-TV. She also prepared food photos for instructional video on food and food preparation. For many years also she worked as a home economist with Penn State Extension before taking a position as a teacher of Food Service, Home Economics and English in the BASD. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Bethlehem.

Survivors: Daughters, Joan N. Neff of Bethlehem; Amy Kenny and husband Mark of Pittsburgh; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant twin son, a daughter Nancy Binker and brother, Arthur Slusser.

Services: Funeral service, Friday, at 10:00 a.m. in Messiah Lutheran Church, 2020 Worthington Ave. Bethlehem, 18017, where friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be at approx. 1:00p.m. in Elan Mem. Park, Bloomsburg, PA. Arrangements entrusted to JAMES FUNERAL HOME, Bethlehem. More information at www.jamesfuneralhome.org
