Lorraine Clare Melanson, 82, formerly of Passaic County, NJ, passed away on December 2, 2016 in Gracedale Nursing Home, Nazareth PA., where she has been residing with her beloved husband, Frank J. Melanson, Jr. Born in Lincoln Park, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Audree Schroeder. She worked many years as an editor and writer of operation manuals until retiring in the mid 1990's. She was a former member of All Saints Episcopal Church where she was also an organist and also St. Clément's Episcopal Church. Later she was a member of United Methodist Church in Wyckoff, NJ.

In addition to her husband, Frank, she is survived by her son, John Fuchs (Connie) of Bethlehem, PA; daughters, Carol Chapin (Frank) of Hawthorne, NJ; Karen Clark of Wyoming; a brother, William Schroeder of Mississippi and 3 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a half sister, Evelyn Soller.
