M. Isabelle Bernard, 88, of Bethlehem, entered eternal life, Saturday, September 12, 2015, while being cared for in her home by her daughter and the staff of St. Luke's Hospice. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Bernard. Born in New Brunswick, Canada, she was a daughter of the late J. Philip and Anna (Tardif) Drapeau. She worked as a secretary during World War II, and was a devout parishioner of Notre Dame of Bethlehem R. C. Church, Bethlehem. Most important to Isabelle were her family and her parish.
Survivors: She is survived by her beloved daughter, Rachel Sacek and her husband Thomas of Bethlehem, and sisters, Patricia Gyuk and Sylvia Levesque both in Canada. She was preceded in death by brothers, Adrian, Sylvio, Guy and Odilion Drapeau.
Services: Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Tuesday from 9:30-10:20 a.m. in Notre Dame of Bethlehem R. C. Church, 1861 Catasauqua Rd.., Bethlehem, PA 18018, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Church. Burial will take place on Wednesday in St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia NJ.
