Obituary

Maria Lydia Calasanz, 75, of Bethlehem-Hanover Twp., passed away peacefully in her home, on Friday, May 17, 2024. She was the beloved wife of Tristan Calasanz with whom she shared 50 years of marriage. Born in Manila, Philippines,she was a daughter of the late Mariano and Encarnacion (Go) Ong. She graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1970 from University of Santo Tomas in Manila, with a BA degree in Economics. She was a dedicated wife and mother who's enjoyed being with her family. Her family are members of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church.

Survivors: In addition to her husband, Tristan, she is survived by her daughters, Grace Calasanz and her husband Jose Enrique Albano; Tina Pater and her husband Jack Pater; grandson, Miguel Lorenzo Albano; step-grandson, Anthony Alec Pater; siblings, Espee, Linda, Bongga and Enyong. She was preceded in death by siblings, Carol, Danny, Eddie and Bobby.

Services: Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Friday, May 24th from 10:00-11:00 AM followed by a Prayer Service at 11:00 AM, all in the JAMES FUNERAL HOME, 527 Center St. Bethlehem. Interment of cremated remains will take place later in the Philippines.
