Marion B. "Hartman" Smirne, 94, of Bethlehem. formerly of Easton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 16, 2016 in Old Orchard Health Care Center, Palmer Township. She was the former wife of the late Paul Weaver and was the widow of the late Robert Hartman who died in 1982 and widow of the late Francis Smirne who died in 2004. Raised in Phillipsburg, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Bessie (Bowlby) Apgar. She graduated from Phillipsburg High School in 1939 and attended the Muhlenberg Hospital School of Nursing in Plainfield, NJ. Later she became an administrative assistant at Union Carbide Corp., Metals Division, where she worked for 35 years until retiring in 1982. She was a member of the former Olivet Presbyterian Church, Easton.
Survivors: She is survived by her sons, Rick Weaver and his wife Sue of Sedona, AZ; Ronald Hartman of Bethlehem; stepchildren, Sharon Wagner and her husband Richard of Westminster, CO; Robert Hartman of Lakewood, CO; J. Kevin Hartman and his wife Theresa of North Point, FL; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth R. Apgar and a sister, Elizabeth T. Kuhmichael.
Services: Visitation, this Wednesday from 10-11:00 A.M., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 A.M. all in the JAMES FUNERAL HOME, 527 Center St. Bethlehem. Interment, Easton Cemetery. Condolences may be left at www.jamesfuneralhome.org
