Mary Ruth Deater, 72, of Bethlehem, passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 29, 2021, in her home. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Warren T. and Marian (George) Deater. She worked as a sewing machine operator for many years at various clothing factories in the area until retiring. She was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church, Bethlehem.

Survivors: She is survived by her daughter, Trudi Eckert of Bath, sisters, Barbara Byrum of Brandon, Mississippi, Margaret Pecsek of Nazareth, grandchildren, James Consentino and wife Britney of Bethlehem; Spencer Zink of Phoenixville and Tyler Eckert of Bath. She was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas D. Deater on April 29, 2020.
