Mary Elizabeth Sysak, 86, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully in Weston-Renaissance Personal Care Home in Emmaus on August 1, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late Walter Sysak who passed away in 2004. They had been married for 48 years. Born in Cos Cob, CT, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Mary (Wood) Wagner. She worked as an nanny for many years in the Lehigh Valley and was of the Byzantine Catholic faith.

Survivors: She is survived by her children, Suzanne Mulhern (Bill) of Bethlehem; Andrew Sysak (Cathy) of Lehighton; Mildred Dries (Curt) of Alburtis; Jeffrey Sysak of Allentown; brothers, Robert Wagner (Trudy) of CT; Donald Wagner(Jean) of ME; sister, Mildred Hummer of CT; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, MaryLou Vilatoro, grandson, Robert Mulhern and a brother Henry Wagner.

Services: Relatives and friends are invited to her graveside service on Friday, August 10, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in Washington Crossing Nat. Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd., Newtown, PA 18940, where she will be interred along with her husband, Walter. Arrangements are entrusted to JAMES FUNERAL HOME, Bethlehem.
