Nereida Lassen, 69, of Bethlehem passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family on Friday, September 11, 2015. She was the wife of the late Ernesto Lassen Colon, who passed away in 2011. Born in Carolina P.R., she was a daughter of the late Felipe Rivera and Maria Diaz. She was a home health attendant for many years, but most important to her was caring for her family.

Survivors: she is survived ba a son, Angel Manuel Lassen of Bethlehem; daughters, Maria Annette Lassen of Bronx NY, Eileen Villegas and her husband Manuel of Bethlehem; brothers and sisters, Estaban Rivera, Rosa Lydia Fonseca, Josefina Thomas, Juan Orta; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother Jose Domenech.

Services: Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Thursday, September 17, 2015, from 6-7:30 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 7:30 p.m. An additional viewing will be held on Friday morning, September 18, 2015, from 10:30 -11:00 followed by a brief prayer service at 11:00 a.m. all in the JAMES FUNERAL HOME, 527 Center Street, Bethlehem.
